Challenge 111 - Christmas in July

Welcome to the new challenge!

Challenge #111
July 17 - July 29

Theme: Christmas in July

Before we get into the details of the new challenge, I want to mention the great entries submitted last challenge #110 which was the ever popular Anything Goes!
Julie posted the challenge winners last night, so if you want to see some talent - [or see if you won!] - just click here for the
[Here is a hint!]

And, regarding the DT Call:
I also want to mention and thank the several paper artists who threw their hat in the ring for the new DT slots!  We have some incredibly talented candidates to choose from and the process has begun to narrow it down to three.  I don't know about the other DT members, but this is a wickedly difficult decision!  Hang in there... this is going to take little while!

Sometimes people need a little push to get started with the multitude of holiday cards they need in December.  I don't know about you, but the stress of the holiday commitments can be so overwhelming when I want to make all my gifts AND make all my cards AND decorate wildly!  A little push to get some of my cards done early is just what I need!  Ok - so here we go...
We challenge you to create a project for
Christmas in July
If Christmas isn't your Holiday - no worries!  Make it any December Holiday - not Thanksgiving and not New Years - make sure it falls in December!

Marie-Clare has provided a FREEBIE Sentiment for you to use if you so choose!  You are welcome to save the image to your files for later or we would LOVE to see it on your entry!

Look closely - there is snow falling over that sentiment!
There will be another sentiment next week - so be sure to watch for it.  Thank you MC for sharing your talent with us all!
Please be sure to leave a comment for Marie-Clare either on this post or you can go to her blog - Cards by MC - and let her know how much she is appreciated for her latest efforts!

You have till July 17 to get as many as 5 projects submitted for a chance to win a prize from our Sponsor!  We have the pleasure this challenge of teaming up with QKR Stampede who has provided our DT with images to showcase for your inspiration. They also have provided a great prize that you will love - 5 Digital Stamps of your choice from their online store!  If you are not familiar with the style of Ken Herrod - read a little bit about QKR below:

QKR
Do you have a sense of humor? Are you looking for a cute stamp? Then, we are the company for you! QKR Stampede is the somewhat cute somewhat quirky rubber and digital stamp company. We showcase the artwork of Ken Herrod, who had a unique, somewhat quirky style with lots of humor and character. You are sure to get a chuckle out of our stamps! We have been offering our unique stamps and supplies to the craft industry for over 15 years. At QKR Stampede our images are available as un-mounted, natural red rubber stamps OR as digital stamps! If QKR Stampede Stamps aren't exactly what you are looking for, don’t miss out on the sister companies: Eureka Stamps, Biblical Impressions Rubber Stamps, or the newest addition; Alluring Impressions.

To get you started, we have theme interpretations by
the very creative Aud Sentiment Designers!
To keep you motivated, the team will provide even more inspiration at the mid week post next Thursday!

Challenge 110 - Anything Goes AND a DT Call

Welcome to Challenge #110
July 3 - July 15, 2014

Anything Goes & DT Call

First, we had some very talented and creative entries submitted last challenge to add a Two Word Sentiment!  Julie posted the winners last night, so if you want to see who won - just click here for the

Next on the agenda is our DT Call...
Ginny H is our Senior DT in charge of the Design Team and she has put together the information you will need to decide if you want to throw your hat in the ring!
Ginny H:
Well it's that time again! Where have the last 6 months gone?
We are looking for a few new Design Team members for the new term.
We are happy for non-card makers to apply too.  We are always open to other media because we feel it can add a new element to our challenges.  So if you scrapbook, paint, whatever - why not try out?  It’s all about the creativity [and the sentiment]!   You don't need to have been on a DT before.

Interested?  Consider what you have to offer:
·  Do you currently have an active blog?
·  Do you love to create projects?
·  Can you commit to a minimum 6 month position & confidently work with digital images?
·  Do you love to have fun & hang with like-minded crafters (easy-going, friendly, supportive, etc?)
·  Do you love to create & help inspire others?
·  Can you take good quality pictures of your work?
·  Can you meet a deadline?
·  Can you commit to a project every fortnight and commenting on entries? (Not all of them, as we have a system!)

If you answered yes to the above questions, then read on to find out what the AUD SENTIMENTS' Design Team has to offer you:

If you answered yes to the above questions, then read on to

First, a pleasant, enjoyable & supportive team environment.
·  You will get digital images to work with from our lovely sponsors.
·  You get to help pick winners
·  For first time DT members, you will gain experience and exposure.
·  For veteran designers, you will expand your crafting resume and exposure.
·  A chance to learn from a community of your peers.
So, how do you apply to be an
AUD SENTIMENTS Designer?
***Just enter our current challenge
and add the letters DT behind your name!***
Couldn't be simpler!

Next, in our new tradition, Marie-Clare has provided
A FREEBIE Sentiment for you to use!
Marie-Clare:
This is a bit of a 2 part sentiment...the circle shape says "This calls for" and then you should just be able to pick the word you would like and drop it in. Of course if you want to save the circle part and add your own sentiment that is also possible. Hope you like these ones.
Wow!  This is going to be fun -
thank you MC for sharing your talent with us all!
Marie-Claire will return next week with another Freebie.

Our Sponsor - Rick St. dennis!

I love the quirky images that we get to use when Rick St. dennis teams up with us for a challenge!  We appreciate the images that he has provided for our Designers to use, and of course, the prize they are offering our winner!

And finally - to our challenge:
Anything Goes

To get you started, we have theme interpretations by
the very creative Aud Sentiment Designers!
To keep you motivated, the team will provide even more inspiration at the mid week post next Thursday!
