Welcome to the new challenge!
Challenge #111
July 17 - July 29
Theme: Christmas in July
Before we get into the details of the new challenge, I want to mention the great entries submitted last challenge #110 which was the ever popular Anything Goes!
Julie posted the challenge winners last night, so if you want to see some talent - [or see if you won!] - just click here for the
[Here is a hint!]
And, regarding the DT Call:
I also want to mention and thank the several paper artists who threw their hat in the ring for the new DT slots! We have some incredibly talented candidates to choose from and the process has begun to narrow it down to three. I don't know about the other DT members, but this is a wickedly difficult decision! Hang in there... this is going to take little while!
Sometimes people need a little push to get started with the multitude of holiday cards they need in December. I don't know about you, but the stress of the holiday commitments can be so overwhelming when I want to make all my gifts AND make all my cards AND decorate wildly! A little push to get some of my cards done early is just what I need! Ok - so here we go...
We challenge you to create a project for
Christmas in July
If Christmas isn't your Holiday - no worries! Make it any December Holiday - not Thanksgiving and not New Years - make sure it falls in December!
If Christmas isn't your Holiday - no worries! Make it any December Holiday - not Thanksgiving and not New Years - make sure it falls in December!
Marie-Clare has provided a FREEBIE Sentiment for you to use if you so choose! You are welcome to save the image to your files for later or we would LOVE to see it on your entry!
Look closely - there is snow falling over that sentiment!
There will be another sentiment next week - so be sure to watch for it. Thank you MC for sharing your talent with us all!
Please be sure to leave a comment for Marie-Clare either on this post or you can go to her blog - Cards by MC - and let her know how much she is appreciated for her latest efforts!
You have till July 17 to get as many as 5 projects submitted for a chance to win a prize from our Sponsor! We have the pleasure this challenge of teaming up with QKR Stampede who has provided our DT with images to showcase for your inspiration. They also have provided a great prize that you will love - 5 Digital Stamps of your choice from their online store! If you are not familiar with the style of Ken Herrod - read a little bit about QKR below:
Do you have a sense of humor? Are you looking for a cute stamp? Then, we are the company for you! QKR Stampede is the somewhat cute somewhat quirky rubber and digital stamp company. We showcase the artwork of Ken Herrod, who had a unique, somewhat quirky style with lots of humor and character. You are sure to get a chuckle out of our stamps! We have been offering our unique stamps and supplies to the craft industry for over 15 years. At QKR Stampede our images are available as un-mounted, natural red rubber stamps OR as digital stamps! If QKR Stampede Stamps aren't exactly what you are looking for, don’t miss out on the sister companies: Eureka Stamps, Biblical Impressions Rubber Stamps, or the newest addition; Alluring Impressions.
