Gosh we are speeding through this year! Wave your hands in the air if you are surprised it is the 9th already!
Today we get to meet two of our new DT - that's Leslie and Laura - in their own words
My name is Leslie, I'm married with two grown children and one
granddaughter, and I live in north Florida. For the last 18 years or so,
my paper passion has been card making. I also enjoy making paper shoes,
mini albums and gift bags, and have been known to alter a few tins and
boxes. I started blogging and entering challenges about a year and a
half ago. I’m really looking forward to working with the Aud Sentiments
DT!
And this is Leslie's fave project....
Hi there, my name is Laura, I am a mom to 3 boys (Chris 23, Jon 21, and
Timmy 9) and a crazy Olde English Bulldogge named Mollie! I have been
married to my sweetheart (Ian) for 25 years. I am a very active and
passionate papercrafter. If you check out my blog, you will see that I
am a very regular poster. Yup, I have a love for blogging too! I am
thrilled to be joining the AUD Sentiments DT and cannot wait to start
playing along!
Hope you are enjoying the introductions - here are another two.....
Hi there, I’m Mel and I have been on the DT for Aud
Sentiments since May 2012. It has been amazing being part of a team with the
other girls and it was one of the first DT teams I joined last year and I can’t
wait for the coming year of craft challenges ahead!
I currently live in London with my parents and work for a charity
that promotes Africa in the UK.
I have been crafting on and off for 9 years since I was 18,
I’m 27 now and enjoy every aspect of crafting from card making to scrapbooking,
and from jewellery making to painting. I am discovering new aspects of crafting
all the time and it’s exciting to uncover new techniques, styles and materials
as well as going back to basics old school style too. My favourite craft is card
making and my passion for it started when I was first at college all those years
ago and now make cards for all occasions – so everyone expects a handmade card
from me at some point during the year – which is always encouraging and brings
a smile to my face every time to see people’s reactions to them!
My Name is Betty Chan, live in Hong Kong, I started blogging and
entering challenge on July 2012, since Hong Kong is a shopping paradise
so I can buying almost everything around the world with tax free, it
help me to finish my artwork more easy, This is beginning of the year
and I hope to bring something new to all of you.
More introductions to come over the next few days - and all the blog links are in the sidebar (in case you want to pop over and say hi!)
Another couple of introductions...... Hi all my name is Alison and along with Ruth and Julie I am one of the
longest serving members of Aud Sentiments. I work part time for the
Civil Service, and the rest of the time I look after my beautiful
daughters who are 8 and 6 years old. A full time job in itself as I am
an older Mum! I have been seriously crafting for about 8 years and
started blogging a little over 3 years ago. We have two gorgeous cats
called Misty and Fluffy - girls chose the names - they are about 7
months old now.
This is Ali's fave project.....
Hi all! My name is Sandra, 26 years old and I love in the Netherlands! I
have been crafting all my life, (I am left-handed, that seems to
explain everything) and I started scrapbooking in 2005. I don't do that
very often anymore, right now, I am totally addicted to cardmaking and
coloring stamped images!
I said I would periodically pop a few DT members up, so that you can get to know the new DT and some of the existing DT.
As ever, someone has to go first....so I jumped right in.....
My name is Ruth (Ruthie in craftland!) - my surname is Gedalovitch - I wasn't born to that name, I married
it! The other owners of that name are Tony (my husband) and Josh (our 12 year old son).
In our area, there are very few of us - which makes it really easy when booking dental
and doctor's appointments!
I live in the UK - on the borders of Essex and London (officially we are London) - yep,
we are just up the road to "TOWIE" guys and girls - in fact some of them were schooled
at the same school my son used to attend!
I work full-time in libraries - am on the senior management team - and laugh with my boss
that I get to do all the fun stuff (events and outreach) whilst she has to do all the
boring stuff (finance and performance management) - I am definitely NOT suited to the
boring stuff!
We have numerous animals - 3 cats, 1 hamster, 4 rats, 1 guinea pig, 1 bearded dragon,
1 budgie and some fish - we foster for our local rescue centre too! I am currently
learning sign language and we had to name and describe our animals - mine took a while!
Crafting wise, I am trying really hard to improve my colouring, then I plan to focus on
layouts. I will pretty much try any craft, so you never know what will pop up on my blog!
I go to an annual crafty weekend - which really pushes my crafting forward! AND we do lots of
giggling!
I am so honoured to be part of the AudSentiments team - I seriously think I would not get
on it if I applied today as the talent has just kept growing each time we do a DT call!
Here is my fave card -
Kym was the next brave soul to post up a profile....
Hello my name is Kym and I have been on the Aud Sentiments Design Team for a few
years now.I have been married 21 years and have two boys aged 20 and 16.The
oldest left home in August 2012 but he comes and sees his mum 1-2 nights a week on
his way to college to finish his degree.I work part-time as a Medical Secretary.
I have been crafting now for about 6 years.I make my cards solely to sell to raise
fundsfor different charities so my funds are therefore very limited so I love to
use craft CDs, stamps and digital images as I can use things over and over again.
I have also got into scrapbooking and hope to do more of that in 2013.
And here is Kym's fave project....
Hmmm I wonder who will be the next brave souls to post up their profiles?...... watch this space.....

Something very important is happening over the next few weeks....drum roll....we are bringing on board our new DT members! YAY! We are so excited to be joined by such a talented group of people - in fact, if you take a peek in the sidebar, you will see all their names so you can pop over and leave them some love - or just have a good nose around their blogs...not sure if they have dusted or not so "take them as they are"!!!.
Over the next couple of weeks, we will be posting up a brief bit of information about some of our DT, so keep an eye out for these additional posts.
At this point, I have to say a huge thanks to our outgoing team members who have blessed us with their creativity for the last term. AND of course say how pleased we are that some really talented peeps have decided to stay with us for another term!
For this challenge we are so excited to haveBugaboo as our sponsor. Thanks so much!
Here is a little bit about them...
I have been designing graphics for 9 years, mostly for those who digitize, and now venturing into this new idea of digi stamps. I love to draw and love to see were my designs go and how they are used. I find making people smile with my graphics very rewarding!
For many many years I drew mostly cutesy kids graphics, alot of which you’ll find here. But my latest passion is my cranky old boots.... Stella ,Gus, Margaret and the Gals who came after them. I just LOVE to create them and they seem to be a favorite!
What else can I say? The name Bugaboo Stamps...how did I come up with it? Well...... Bugaboo as that is a nickname i have for my kids sometimes.
OK, now onto the challenge. We want to see you use any sentiment as long as it is about winter - so you could pick "Thanks snow much" or "Have a n-ice day" or some other creative wonder! Just don't forget an applicable sentiment!
Here are the beautiful creations from Team A. Stop by next Thursday for more inspiration from Team B
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We are full of goodies over here - I am sure I am twice the size now! I won't be able to reach passed my belly to get to my crafting!
Welcome to the second week of our challenge. Just a reminder...this is a nice easy one to get us over Christmas, and its to use ANY SENTIMENT on your project.
Just a little update on the DT call...all successful peeps have been contacted - I have to say, it was very, very close for a couple of people and we would have taken more if we could have done! Thanks so much to those who tried out - whether you got in this time or not. Please, if you didn't get in this time, don't feel bad - we try to have a balanced team stylewise and sometimes we just have too many people with the same style! :)
We will hopefully, be unveiling the new DT next week - we are just waiting to hear back from a few people. Please, if you entered, check your emails and blogs, in case there is a message for you!
This challenge will run until Tuesday, Jan 1st. Good Luck!
